“My 27 year old AC unit finally went out in 107 degree Sacramento heat. Mike got out of his pool on a Saturday to come by and take a look at it. After running through the usual tests, he discovered that there was a leak and all of the refrigerant was gone. He did a thorough inspection, provided a menu of options, and I ultimately decided on a whole new unit. Mike and his team member were honest, fair priced, and hard working. “My A/C was not blowing cold air. Fortunately, for me, especially Kitty, this occurred last evening and not in the daytime when it was 115 degrees!!! The house felt very hot at 85 degrees all night. This took place during the horrible September heat wave that we were having (110+ degrees for many days). Thank God for Mike Roach!!! This was amazing since I had been calling AC companies for 3 days & when I did get through, the earliest they could come was tomorrow. Having already lived through two days of 100+ heat, I was excited to have the potential of a cool house as soon as possible. He was very efficient & had the capacitor replaced in no time. Based on prices found by googling, charge was on the upper end of what was stated on-line (60-200). Given how fast the response was, they were worth every cent. He and his team was honest, personable, and definitely the best rate for equal equipment and labor. There was no "upselling" conversation, and no pressure (which wasn't the case with another company I looked into. The difference by not going with "one of the big three" companies in town was $8000 less. Also, he could work with me to finance the big purchase, which is rare for a local home-grown company. “So our old AC unit died late on a Thursday night. During 100 degrees days. Called Michael first thing in the morning and he amazingly he showed up mid morning. He determined that the AC couldn't be fixed, recommended a replacement and had the parts ordered and started work by that afternoon. Worked until 7pm on a Friday night and finished the work on Saturday. He was amazing. High quality work (he even fixed some things previous contractors messed up) and was very pleasant to work with. “I made it nearly one year without my trusty HVAC system fully functioning. I had multiple businesses come to my house to check on what was wrong with my system and had a variety of different quotes. Every business either failed to return my calls or just rushed through the whole process so quickly I didn't feel comfortable working with them. Finally, I decided it was time to just replace my system and reached out to a business I had worked with years ago because I remembered it was a small business and I knew they were honest and trustworthy. Come to find out, Mike with Roach HVAC had recently taken over the business and came to my house to check out my system that same day! He did confirm that the system should be replaced, and let me know a ballpark estimate - not far off of what I had been quoted before. I appreciated the quickness and thoroughness of Mike So much that we scheduled the replacement for the following week. He went through all of the legalities of permits, renting a CRANE and all that other stuff and made it seem effortless. My system was installed within two days and works beautifully. Mike gave us a 1 year warranty on the system and I know I can reach out if I ever have any issues. Lastly, he worked with me on the payment. I was able to put cash down and then create a payment arrangement for the rest that I owed. In a time when money is tight, this really was a huge blessing and I have nothing but positive things to say about Roach HVAC!”
